Fashionistas Nikki and Teresa

I put some new RAM in my PC, repaired Windows, but after about 10 minutes of functionality, the router cut off my computer, for no apparent reason. At least I have my files and a better image editor than MSPaint, for what it's worth

I kind of liked both Nikki and Teresa, but after putting them next to dolls I really like, they fell pretty short. Teresa's eyes are much less flat looking than most of the 2009-2011 Fashionistas. I popped off their heads several weeks ago. I don't know which dolls will get their bodies.

Bratz Neon Runway Yasmin (Pink Version)

I like this girl, mostly for her sweet face and pink hair. She shares her eye print with the Cloe from the same line. The edges of the jacket are all unhemmed, and the tights on mine are damaged. I had reservations about paying $17 for it, but the face paint is nice, and I might not be able to find another good one at a lower price. She reminds me of Raya.

I like the way the color variants in this series are distributed 50/50 with the normal ones, so they aren't chase figures. I wish MGA had dropped price and the random dogs, though.

My Favorite Barbie Swirl Ponytail (1964)

This one has been scooting around under my bed for a while.  I got it for the Dancing Doll dress and the record player.  The doll itself is pretty boring.  If a Big Lots store has any Collector Barbie dolls, it probably has a stack of this one.

Dang, there's a spot of dirt on the face in the photos.  It came off, thankfully.  It was official factory dirt, so I'm not going to re-take the photos.

Blonde Stardoll "Pretty n' Love"

While I would much rather pick Stardolls out in person, I grabbed her at a Barbie Collector sale because I'm not keeping this doll, just her great outfit. Surprisingly, her eyes are perfect, and perfectly centered. That's how luck goes.

It's great to see a well made fashion on a playline Barbie. I hope these sell well enough that they don't get canceled.

2012 Fashionistas Summer and Raquelle

I bought these for the bodies, but once I got Raquelle out of the box and played with her hair, I like her enough to keep. That shirt has to go. I especially like Summer's boots. There are two other Fashionistas I got, but their pictures are on my sleeping computer. Everybody but Raquelle has already been stripped and beheaded.

Skull Shores Frankie Stein

I bought her on impulse a few weeks ago. Aside from Sweet 1600 Clawdeen and the gimpy Create a Monster sets, these were the first new dolls I had seen since almost this time last year. I'm pretty burned out on Monster High. I've gone out of my way to check stores as I travel around four different states, and I've still never seen Spectra, the snow monster, Cupid, Gill, and so on. It's ridiculous, they go out of production before they make it to store shelves. There's no thrill of the hunt, just wasted time and disappointment.

So, I don't know. In a few months I'll probably toss what I have on eBay and just be done with it. The face paint was messy, so I bought one to clean up, and a spare in case I ruin the first.

Priscilla, Elvis, and Harley Barbie comparison

I think Elvis has better eyeshadow than Harley Barbie, but Harley has a sweeter expression.

Barbie as Elvis

Right now my PC is still down, but I'm trying to do some updates as I break down a mini-hoard of body and clothing donors that have piled up since Christmas and other sales.

Here's Elvis Barbie, I'm keeping the body, everything else is headed towards eBay.

Apologies for the 3 month break, will be back soon.

I got off-track in January, dealing with a sick old cat. She seemed to dying, and it killed my interest hobbies for a bit. She did make a full recovery, and is sassier than ever. But then something did die; the RAM in my PC went kaput. I'll fix it soon, it's not even a hard repair, just a frustrating one.

I've got neat stuff to blab about.
